Six skincare routine essentials in summer you should keep in mind

With the arrival of summer, the skin tone becomes darker. The scorching heat and the harmful UV rays from the sun coupled with dust and heat affect the facial tissue of your face with awful tans, dark spots, and pigmentation. Several skin concerns like pimples, acne, black patches, etc., are also visible during this season. In such a situation, proper skincare routine becomes even more important in summer.

Skincare tips in summer are crucial. Following a sustained skincare regime with home remedies will help you achieve that glowing summer skin you’ve always desired. Taking appropriate skincare measures in summer is a must for everyone. In such a situation, people often look for skincare tips, especially for oily skin, and homemade skincare tips.

Ways to achieve that summer glow

Even a single spot on the skin is panicking. And who understands this better than us. Worry not, as we bring you a few essential skincare routine tips to keep your skin smooth and supple this Summer season.

The hustle and bustle of the day, work pressure, and lack of time for oneself are often the reasons for not taking care of your skin. And this is enough to reduce the glow of the face or make you look dull and tired throughout the day.

Protecting the skin from tanning and sunburn is difficult in the summer. However, there are some natural and completely skin-friendly things at home by which you can save the skin from sunburn. Besides, you can protect your skin from damage by keeping it cool even in the scorching heat.

As the weather heats up, your skin’s sebaceous glands start expelling excess sebum. Sebum is commonly known as natural oil. This oil gets deposited on the skin surface, making the skin sticky and clogging the pores.

A common problem in this season is acne and scars it causes. Especially those with oily skin have a lot of trouble with this. When your skin gets exposed to dangerous ultraviolet rays, it increases melanin production to protect it from damage.

Six simple home remedies for beautiful skin

Here are six simple remedies to fulfill your skincare routine and a few homemade facemasks that will protect your skin and make it summer-ready. These include home essentials like wheat flour, lemon juice, orange juice, and aloe vera.

  1. Drink lots of water- For beautiful skin, drink at least 6 to 7 glasses of water every day. This will keep your stomach clean and your skin tone. Eat fruits with high water content, such as cucumber, cucumber, raw tomato, and orange to prevent water shortage in your body.
  2. Cool the skin- Drink cold food like citrus fruits, juice, lassi, cucumber, and green leafy vegetables to protect against skin tanning and sunburn. Avoid fried and junk food to prevent your body from heating up. It is also essential to apply products that cool the skin, like Aloe Vera Gel, Sandalwood Powder, Lemon, and Curd, Raw Potato.
  3. Apply wheat face pack- After washing the wheat, soak it in water. If you wish to eat it, wait for the next 2 to 3 days. You can make a face pack in the morning with wheat soaked at night. For making a face pack, take out the soaked wheat from the water and make a paste with rose water. Add 2 pinches of turmeric to this paste and apply it on the face till it dries. After 15 minutes, wash it off with fresh water and apply moisturizer.
  4.  Use Sunscreen – Before going out in the sun, use sunscreen with a good SP, preferably between SPF 30 and SPF 50. Always apply the sunscreen 15 minutes before stepping out. Do not go out in the sun immediately after applying sunscreen. Apply sunscreen thrice a day. Apart from this, do not go out in the sun without sunglasses. Harmful UV light can cause wrinkles on the sides of the eyes.
  5. Avoid Heavy Makeup – Heavy makeup does not allow your skin to breathe. The heat and humidity add to the problem. Instead of applying heavy foundation and other cosmetics, you should apply tinted moisturizer and lip balm with little makeup.
  6.  Moisturize Well – Moisturizer is essential to protect your skin during the summer season. For this, you can choose a non-greasy formula moisturizer keeping your skin in mind.

If you follow these easy and simple steps with home-cooked food in skincare routine, you can achieve the summer-ready skin you wish.
